Andrew Hart

Andrew Hart is an accomplished software engineer currently employed at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) where he uses his computer science background and creative talents to design and develop data management systems for scientific research missions. He has been involved in a large number of data-intensive research projects across a variety of domains, including climate change research, radio astronomy, cancer bioinformatics, and social media analytics. Andrew is a member of the ASF and an active contributor to several projects there, including OODT, SIS, GORA, Streams, and Stratos. He also serves as a mentor for the Spark project which is currently approaching graduation from the Incubator. He has spoken at O'Reilly OSCON in 2010, and at previous ApacheCon NA meetings in Vancouver and Portland.
